Centennial Pool

West Seneca, NY

Louis Design Solutions was retained by the Town of West Seneca to design long overdue renovations to the Town’s only public pool. Time and the elements had taken quite a toll on the existing wood siding, painted masonry, asphalt shingled and rubber membrane roofs and concrete walks and pool deck. The existing buildings’ unique forms were retained, while more modern, low maintenance materials were introduced to update the structures and reduce future maintenance costs. Incorporated into the design were standing seam metal roofing; pre-finished aluminum wall panels, soffits and fascia; elastomeric masonry coatings and vinyl coated fabric awnings. Colors were chosen to reinforce the aquatic nature of the project.

Much of the sidewalk was eliminated in the new design to reduce the “heat island” effect of so much concrete. All exterior finishes were replaced or updated and a new landscape plan introduced.
