758 Elmwood Avenue

Buffalo, NY

This Urban Renovation/Infill project was completed in three phases. Phase One consisted of converting the existing Queen Anne Style residence for use as retail space. Major components of the phase one work included tearing off the existing wood clapboards and replacing them with cement board siding (to meet fire codes) and making the building accessible through the addition of a wheelchair lift.

Phase Two added a two story mixed use structure housing the Globe Market on the first floor and two apartments above.

Phase Three improved the existing “Pocket Park” through the addition of updated paving, landscaping, lighting, seating, bike racks and a children’s play area.

The project was completed working with fellow Design Collaborative member firm, Schneider Design Architects, PC.
